ALABI meetings are generally held once per year, usually in the summer. The ALABI Administrative Committee (consisting of the four elected officers as indicated by the Constitution) conducts the business of the Association between annual meetings. Hybrid Meeting – Save the Date
The 2026 annual meeting will be a hybrid format, at the Hampton Inn Charleston-Historic District, Charleston, SC on Wednesday-Friday, July 15-17, 2026.
Program
This year’s theme is “Baptists and America 250: Preserving Liberty and Religious Freedom, Then and Now.”
In celebration of America’s Semiquincentennial this year, the ALABI program theme encourages a variety of presentation topics addressing archive collections and projects that document and tell the stories of Baptist contributions to liberty and religious freedom over the past 250 years, including presentations on archival acquisitions, recently processed collections, preservation projects, digitization initiatives, exhibits, and other outreach efforts related to Baptists’ contributions to public life and religious liberty/religious freedom.
