ALABI meetings are generally held once per year, usually in the summer. The ALABI Administrative Committee (consisting of the four elected officers as indicated by the Constitution) conducts the business of the Association between annual meetings. Hybrid Meeting – Save the Date
The 2024 annual meeting will be a hybrid format, at Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, Tennessee on June 24-26, 2024.
Program
This year’s theme is “We Have a Story to Tell: New, Unique, and Innovative Projects at Baptist Libraries and Archives.” This broad theme encourages a variety of presentation topics, including unique acquisitions, newly processed collections, innovative digital projects, unique conservation/preservation projects, unique/innovative education and outreach programs, and more! If you are interested in providing a 15-20 minute presentation either virtually or in-person, please email the ALABI officers the title of your presentation and a 2-3 sentence description by Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

A block of rooms has been reserved for $99/night at the Holiday Inn Express-Dandridge, for June 23-26. The HIE-Dandridge is located just off I-40, about 8 miles from Carson-Newman. The hotel has free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast. When you call the hotel, tell them you are attending the ALABI meeting at Carson-Newman and ask for the Tennessee Baptist Convention rate.
